- Firewing for PIC18 compiler
Free version supports 18F25K22, 18F26K22, 18F45K22, 18F46K22 and 18F14K50 (USB) without any limitation.
If you have a license of Swordfish BASIC compiler, ALL PIC18F are supported.

- Firewing for PIC24 compiler
Free version supports PIC24HJ128GP502 and dsPIC33FJ128GP802 natively. If you want, you can use system converter to add support for ANY PIC24 device (without any limitation).

- Firewing for PIC32 compiler
Free version supports PIC32MX150F128B, PIC32MX250F128B, PIC32MX320F128H, PIC32MX320F128L, PIC32MX795F512H and PIC32MX795F512L. You can also use system converter to add support for ANY PIC32MX (maybe MZ also - need to check for interrupts system).

To add support for more devices, check the section "Adding More Devices to Firewing" at page http://www.firewing.info/pmwiki.php?n=F ... r.Articles

If you like Firewing, buy hardware and eventually Swordifsh BASIC compiler licenses from Mecanique because those products (hard and soft) are very good quality and worth the money, and because David desserve all the support from us for the huge ammount of work and time he spent on Firewing and to thank him and encourage him continue giving it for free for the community.

Thank you.

Plan is to put an 18F25K22 on a breadboard and program it with PICKit3 at the start.

Nest step would be to get Bootloader working smoothly.

We make a lot of changes in our code and want to run it quickly.

Will be taking a look at Firewing languge and I/O handling.

I agree with you that writing a language does take a few hours to do.

We're halfway there.

Ordered boards that most pinouts of PIC's will work on.

Having a little trouble with the 18F25K22.

Let me take another look at it and see what problem was.

Here's 18f25K20. That's 20 not 22. Don't see a problem there.

Here's 18F25K22

Don't really see a problem there now.

Must have been not looking at it right.

Okay. We will get one.

Sorry, I don't understand what's your problem (with K20 and/or K22)!!!
Can you explain what's your problem with Firewing and your chip?

Regards

Last time I proposed getting a chip someone spoke up and said it wouldn't work.

Just want to make sure before purchasing.

So you don't foresee any problems with 18F25K22?

Hi FirewingUser,
18F25K22 would be ok. Original Firewing board is provided with a PIC18F25K22 fited in. Have a look at http://www.firewing.info/pmwiki.php?n=F ... Firewing08

You **don't** even need Swordfish BASIC as PIC18F25K22 is supported natively by Firewing BASIC compiler.

"**don't** even need Swordfish BASIC as PIC18F25K22 is supported natively by Firewing BASIC compiler."

Had to read that 3 times.

SWORDFISH Basic.

You mean that add on from a commercial version of Swordfish to add more devices to Firewing.

I'll have to 'test drive' free Firewing a long time before I'd even consider doing something like that.
