Firewing main board for PIC32 and PIC24

Hello,
I want to buy a firewing board mainly for use with PIC32. Does the PIC32 board accept also PIC24 chips?

The new R2 revision of Firewing PIC32 can also support the PIC24 microcontroller, but you will need to load the bootloader on the PIC24.

I really want to do it, but I need some help from David. I hope he will be able to dedicate some time to that (I need some more info about the executables parameters for each platform supported by Firewing).

Could you have the plugin support the XC16 toolsuite?

I just ordered a PIC18 and PIC32 firewing boards. I hope to receive the R2 boards (sorry I didn't checked the description when I have done the order).
