Using Firewing Compiler With 18F25K22

Postby FirewingUser » Fri Apr 28, 2017 7:14 am

How do use 18F25K22 on a breadboard with Firewing please?

Looking at Firewing I don't see a dropdown 'Device' menu.

Thanks!:)

Does look like we use PIC it ships with for bootloader IDE's and

put in a blank chip for PICKit 3 programming.

Thanks!

Yes. 'Plugging in' Swordfish Toolsuite' to Firewing is handy.

It expands Devices Support beyond Firewing's half a dozen variants of 18F25K22.

Makes Firewing more usable to the 'Breadboard Crowd'.

Thanks!:)

Yes it does, if you've paid for Swordfish.

Then that was a dead end and waste of resources thinking about it.

I've emailed David Barker about a solution to the 'No pay" syndrome.

As it stands now the 18F25K22 on a breadboard will work.

Great!:)

I did not see Firewing compiler for sale on Mechanique.

How much is it?

What does commercial version of Firewing compiler include?

Okay to call you Coco for short or you don't like that?

The Firewing HARDWARE board is kinda neat.

I think I would just connect breadboard to it.

A Firewing 8 bit board will cost me 22 pounds with shipping. The exchange rate is 1.3 dollar to a pound.

So about $28.60.About the same as Microchip Low Pin count board here.

A little pricey but biggest deal is getting over resentment of proprietary hardware.

Whenever I think about Basic Stamp parts we've accumulated I am not happy!
