I am having trouble getting the new R2 bootloader to connect with either R2 or R1 hardware. I consistently get the Error message - Unable to locate Firewing - when I compile and program. Loader information also gives the same error.

Any clues appreciated

The R1 board will not work with PIC32. Please don't try. The error message has nothing to do with the loader. It's a connection issue to the board. Without knowing exactly what you have done it's difficult to say what is wrong.
